Welcome to Benji Physio!

Everything you need to know for your appointment

We’re delighted to welcome you to Benji Physio and thank you for trusting us with your care. Our team is committed to providing expert treatment in a friendly and professional environment, and we look forward to helping you on your journey to better movement and wellbeing.

To ensure you feel fully prepared for your appointment, please take a moment to read through the following details.

Finding us and access

We are located in Queensferry View , Pitreavie Way, Dunfermline, KY11 8HN.

We are in an industrial estate within the same building at Cresco Warehouse. Don’t worry our surgery is warm, light and perfect for physio care.

To make it easier for you to find us, we’ve created a couple of short video guide:

How to get to Benji Physio from Dunfermline City Centre

How to get to Benji Physio from M90, Duloch, Rosyth (Nationwide/Lloyds roundabout).

If you have any trouble locating us, please do not hesitate to call us on 07760615804.

There is always plenty of parking spaces in front of the surgery, so you will never have to worry about finding spaces when arriving for your appointment..

The clinic is fully accessible for disabled patients. We have a ramp to access the waiting room and large doors for wheelchair users.

The toilet is also accessible for wheelchairs users but we do not have a hoist.

Feel free to get in the treatment area to use the toilet if needed when waiting for your appointment.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Our receptionists are Laura (working hours: 8.30am to 1.30pm) and Elaine (working hours: 2pm to 5.30pm).

They will alert your therapist that you have arrived.  Outside these hours, either ring the bell placed in front of the reception window or scan the QR code in display to let your therapist know that you have arrived.

Your first appointment will begin with a thorough discussion about your condition, symptoms, and any relevant medical history.

This will be followed by a physical assessment to better understand your movement, strength, and any areas of discomfort. Based on this, we will discuss and agree on a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs.

If at any point during your appointment you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask—we want you to feel at ease throughout the process.

What to Wear

We recommend comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. You may need to remove some layers. If we need to assess your lower body, for example, please bring shorts, and for upper body assessments, a vest top may be ideal.

If you expect receiving massage to your neck, shoulder, back, please wear a bra that can be unclipped easily. If you expect to go to the gym, please wear a sport bra.

If you have any specific requirements or concerns about clothing, let us know, and we’ll be happy to advise.

Please feel free to change into your treatment gear in the toilet area before and after your appointment if needed.

Payment Information

Self-paying patients

If you have booked online, you will have already pre-paid your session.  Your card details will be kept by our booking system (called Jane) to facilitate future appointment payment.

If you prefer paying by BACS (our preferred option), we will send you an invoice after your appointment.

You can also pay by cash.

We do not have a card reader at the clinic.

Private Medical Insurance patients

If you are using a private medical insurance (PMI) to fund your treatment, we will also ask your card detail as, unfortunately, we have had several instances when patients refused to pay the excess that their PMI did not pay us.  Please contact your PMI to make yourself aware of your excess.

Unless you are with BUPA, we will ask you to pay us directly and request reimbursement directly to your PMI.

We generally email your payment receipt as soon as the payment is made.  You can also access your receipt on your Jane portal. Please let us know if you have any issue.

Need to Reschedule?

If you need to change your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can offer the slot to someone else. You will be charged 50% of the session fee for ALL cancellations made after the 24H notice.

What next?

Please find below a link to register to Jane.

https://benjiphysio.janeapp.co.uk/sign_in

Jane is a fantastic patient management system portal which will allow you to book, cancel, move your appointments, and access your receipts.  Your therapist can also share any relevant info (such as reports) with you via the portal.

The portal will also direct you to read and sign our terms and conditions and sign consent to treatment forms. Please make sure this is done before your first appointment.

If you have any further questions or need assistance before your visit, don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you and helping you on your path to recovery.

Best regards,

The Benji Physio Team
